After you have joined the scheme, Membership Points are used to determine your level of membership. Every new member is enrolled at Indigo level (regardless of how many flights you made before joining). You are allocated a bonus of 3300 Flying Points and start accumulating Membership Points for each flight you make after joining. One flight is equal to one Membership Point. The more points you earn the higher your level of membership. See the table below to find out how many Membership Points you need to upgrade to Silver or Gold.
Note: Points are awarded on a membership year basis. Your membership year starts from the date your membership card is issued and runs for 12 months. Points are not awarded for flights made prior to joining and equally previous flights cannot be used towards a membership upgrade.
Your membership will become inactive if you do not accumulate a minimum of 4 Membership Points (i.e. 4 one way flights) during every membership year. If your account does become inactive, you will have 12 months to redeem any remaining Flying Points on your account. Please contact our reservations team on 0871 40 50 40 to book any free flights you have earned with Vantage Points.
